The Cameroonian army have revealed that about 30 Boko Haram fighters have perished while several others have been captured several others during the clash on Monday and Tuesday against Nigerian Islamist sect and Cameroonian soldiers at the far north of Cameroon.
At Fotokol, village near the border with Nigeria, the balance sheet of the clash between Boko Haram and the Cameroonian army stood at 27 dead with 'heavy arsenal seized', reports the Cameroonian army.
No victim or damage are reported on the side of the Cameroonian defense forces, which operate with a special device reinforced in this part of the country. Boko Haram recently attacked areas while 480 Nigerian soldiers crossed the border in a clash with Islamist insurgents. According to the Nigerian Army, it was not a leak but rather a "tactical maneuver."
According to Cameroon State radio, government troops repulsed two attempts from Boko Haram fighters to enter the North of Cameroon, the locality bordering the State of Borno, the stronghold of the group in Nigeria.
