50 Military personnel in the East honoured

The recent text of the Head of State, which he signed last December 24 and 25 announced the promotion of 50 higher ranked soldiers in the eastern region.

Four non-commissioned officers are now promoted to the rank of senior officers, forty promoted to non-commissioned officers and six soldiers of rank position. The graduates received their epaulettes, January 1, in respect of the fiscal year 2015.

What makes this edition special is that, the ceremony which is usually presided over by the Governor of the region of the rising sun was chaired this time by the Secretary of State for defence, in charge of war veterans and victims of war, Koumpa Issa.

The aim of his two-day mission, we recall, was in accordance to that prescribed by the Chief of the armed forces, President Paul Biya, who wished that the armed forces engaged on the eastern border with the CAR spend periods of end of year and new year Festival, in joy.

Koumpa Issa presided over this festive moment, which took place in strict military tradition. He therefore, went to Bertoua to convey the message of encouragement, congratulations and comfort from the head of State.
