Senator Pierre Flambeau Ngayap has announced scholarships for 50 university students. He made the disclosure during a news conference at Bali, Douala, on January 23, 2014. The students who will be selected from all State universities, must be those identified to be in real need of financial help.

The money will come from the FCFA 15 million Senatorial Fund for Intervention allocated to each Senator yearly. Senator Ngayap also spoke on the functioning of the National Assembly as well as political, economic and social issues. The Senate, he said, was put in place in 2013 following tripartite talks in 1991.
