6,000 CMR soldiers involved in battle against Boko Haram

This was one of the main information divulged at the plenary meeting which took place Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Yaoundé.

According to the Deputy Minister of defence Alain Mebe Ngo'o, Cameroon has already lost 40 men since the launch of the crusade against Boko Haram. We learnt also that 1,000 attackers of the Islamist sect, have fallen under the bullets of our defence and security forces.

Initially, the Boko Haram sect used the country as a base to twist the neck of the regime by Goodluck Jonathan Ebelle. But over time, the land of Paul Biya became a true hideout where they kept their logistics.

It is on the Cameroonian territory that Boko Haram activities on research funding was been carried out. This Nebula also carries out recruitment and massive supplies. No information was given on the cost of the fight against Boko Haram.

This was the opportunity to acknowledge that securing the national triangle operations, require greater mobilization of human, financial and material resources.

Everything is implemented by the Government of the Republic to overcome Boko Haram as soon as possible. Because of growing insecurity currently prevailing in Nigeria, nearly 25,000 citizens of Goodluck Jonathan sought refuge in Cameroon.

Deeply affected by the results of the fight against Boko Haram, MPs and Cameroonian senators took the resolution to support the Cameroonian army. This is the first time that the representatives of the people formed union sacrée around the fight against Boko Haram.
