AU to support CMR in fight against Boko Haram

"The special representative of the Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union (AU) and head of the support mission for the Central African Republic and Central African (MISAC), general Jean-Marie Michel Mokoko, was pleased with the announcement from the Cameroon Government on the setbacks suffered by the terrorist group Boko Haram, in an attack in Kolofata, located in the Extreme North of Cameroon, Monday, January 12, 2015.

The special representative condemned the repeated attacks from Boko Haram, as well as abductions and other abuses against civilians in Cameroon. He welcomed the efforts of the countries of the sub-region to strengthen their cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

On behalf of the President of the commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, expressed his sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as to the Government of the Republic of Cameroon".
