Officials of Barrister Bernard Muna's Alliance of Progressive Forces, APF are already on the field mobilising party supporters and registered voters in general ahead of the official launch of campaigns for the September 30, 2013 legislative and municipal elections. APF Chairman, Barrister Bernard Muna, told Cameroon Tribune yesterday, September 2, 2013 that the party will only run for municipal elections in the Mbengwi Council in Momo Division of the North West, Galim Council in Bamboutos Division of the West and Douala IV Council in Wouri Division of the Littoral Region.

To maximize winning chances, the APF Chairman said officials are on the field talking to people and mobilizing supporters. He said the local party officials have also been selecting its polling agents and polling scrutineers who will ensure that the party's interests, votes and chances are protected on polling day. The party is also trying to raise funds for the elections.

The Alliance of Progressive Forces created shortly before the 2007 twin legislative and municipal elections will be participating in the September 30, 2013 polls for the third time. It filed in candidates in some constituencies and councils in the July 22, 2007 legislative and municipal elections. Its Chairman was the party's flag bearer in the October 2011 presidential election.
