Another 118 killed in attack against Boko Haram

Safe, reliable, sources announced last Saturday that the rapid intervention battalion (BIR), elite unit of the Cameroonian army, killed 118 members of Boko Haram, Nigerian Islamist sect in the locality of Gopinath, near Mokolo, in the far North.

Two Cameroonian soldiers have also lost their lives during the battle, due to an attack by Muslim fundamentalists in Cameroonian territory.

The Cameroonian Government has, since two weeks, deployed an impressive military arsenal as well as hundreds of men in the border areas with Nigeria where Boko Haram has abuses on civilians.

This operation is also intended to secure hundreds of Nigerian refugees fleeing the violence in their country.

The Cameroonian authorities do not, since then, hide their fear Boko Haram members infiltrate among these needy to commit crimes of mass on their territory.
