According to Francis Sama, Bâtonnier of the order of lawyer in Cameroon, the judiciary turned upside down by the last Supreme Council meeting of the Magistracy after the appointments by the President.
Trainee lawyers declared definitively admitted to the last contest entry to the Cameroon bar, October 24 will be able to complete the year 2014 without taking function.
During an interview with Radio Equinoxe, Master Francis Sama, Bâtonnier of the order of lawyers of Cameroon, gave no details on the date of delivery of these graduates who continue to get impatient. "The jury has already notified the courts concerned, the law provides that candidates must prepare their records for service in three copies, one original and two copies that they present at the headquarters of the order, the President or his representative will transmit them to the competent prosecutor. The Prosecutor, after study and control sends the original to Headquarters, to the president of the Tribunal. Together the two determine the date for delivery. We wanted this benefit to take place before the end of the year to allow the new lawyers to start the New Year in their functions." Said the President.
But to him, the Higher Council of the judiciary held a few days ago in the unity Palace in Yaoundé, upset all the judiciary of the country with appointments. "I made an observation that almost all courts concerned with our benefits are affected. Knowing that those who are on the spot must hold hearings and do the job until they are replaced, the Prosecutor, the representative of the President and the President himself, have to see the disadvantages of these movements. But with regards to the bar, we approached the authorities to fix hearing dates and we expect that as soon as possible," explained the boss of lawyers".
