BICEC vehicle attacked by Boko Haram in Double

The vehicle stolen by the attackers was stopped at the Cameroon-Nigeria border by its Web GPS system.

A column of the Boko Haram fighters sect attacked Friday, December 19, 2014 a car owned by BICEC banking business at a place called Double in the Mayo Sava.

The attackers, heavily armed as usual, killed two of the occupants of the car and seriously injured two others.

After their cowardly assassination along the Mora-Kousseri, they took with them the vehicle and a significant amount of money and immediately set sail for Nigeria with their booty. Unfortunately for them, the GPS vehicle navigation system locked gear just at the Cameroon-Nigeria border.

Elements of the Rapid Intervention Battalion of (BIR) were dispatched to the scene and they recovered the vehicle which they drove to Maroua alongside all those wounded.

This is the umpteenth time that these bandits attack travelers between Mora and Kousseri. A few weeks ago they had killed several drivers of trucks between Dabanga and Kousseri.

With the porosity of the Cameroonian borders, they easily enter the country, lay mines, killing travelers and return peacefully in Nigeria.
