Beautiful classrooms but no students in Bakassi

There is no doubt that the government of Cameroon has put in a lot of financial resources in the Bakassi Peninsular for the construction of classrooms.

Indeed the schools in the area are made up of super modern structures with first class staff quarters. But the vexing issue is that there are no students.

In SAR/SM Isangelle, with about FCFA 50 million pumped in by the state, the Director, Tabe Ntui, is the only occupant.

GTC Akwa in Kombo Abedimo Sub Division is another sad situation. With about FCFA 1.2 billion pumped with a sophisticated workshop and staff quarters there are equally no students.

The Divisional Delegates for Employment and Vocational Training and Secondary Education, William Elangwe Itoe and Sube Keme Stephen respectively have launched a clarion call to the inhabitants of the place to make good use of the structures by sending their children to school.
