Following the report from CONSUPE and a letter of denunciation, the Director General of the telecommunications regulation Agency (Art) was called to face the specialized judicial police officers yesterday.
The Director-general of Art was called to explain the many economic crimes he is suspected of. He could be stripped off his Director General position before joining others in the famous Kondengui prison if he's found guilty as per the report of the sleuths of the superior control of the State (Consupe) who visited the State structure, between August 2013 and April 2014 for a verification mission.
This case of infringement on public fortune for which he is charged, is the purchase of immovable property situated in the Hippodrome in Yaoundé district valued at 4 billion Fcfa to shelter services of ART.
During the investigations carried out by the investigators of Consupe, it came to light that, the building had been overcharged with the balances distributed by the commissions amongst some personalities.
The amount according to sources is not less than 60 billion CFA francs. This has led to poor management of ART. Dr. Hassane Mahamat naMA has also accused him of having participated in this mismanagement.
