A mass of Thanksgiving in honor of the Bishop of Maroua-Mokolo was held last Saturday in Yaoundé in the presence of the personal representative of the head of State.
Minister of State, Minister of Justice, garde des Sceaux, Laurent Esso, was last Saturday the personal representative of the head of State at the mass of Thanksgiving organized in honor of the Bishop of the diocese of Maroua-Mokolo, Bishop Bruno Ateba Edo, after his appointment by Pope Francis on April 5, 2014.
The Eucharistic celebration of last Saturday was to frame the Marie-Reine Basilica Apostles of Mvolyé in Yaoundé, in the presence of Archbishop Piero Pioppo, Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, guests and many Christians.
The banner erected near the majestic building, stated that "the Archdiocese of Yaoundé and Cameroon and Nigeria pallotine community welcome Bishop Bruno Ateba Edo".
Providing advice to the new Bishop, Monsignor Jean Mbarga, new Metropolitan Archbishop of Yaoundé recommended him to govern the faithful of the diocese of Maroua-Mokolo by Act of love because "He who likes governs well. Many gifts were presented on this occasion to the Bishop of the diocese of Maroua-Mokolo.
During this phase, the personal representative of the head of State stood up and handed him a folder. Just before the end of the ceremony, Bishop Bruno Ateba Edo took the floor to express gratitude to God and to Pope Francis and then to the head of State Paul Biya.
