Biya signs decree establishing a follow-up Committee for emergency plan

This body was placed under the supervision of the Prime Minister as a provision of a presidential decree signed Monday, December 22.

Paul Biya continued the implementation of his emergency plan for the acceleration of growth in Cameroon. After the Council of Ministers meeting which took place 9 December 2014, he signed several texts to facilitate the initiation of this 'Marshall plan' in Cameroon, with the support of many banking institutions.

Monday, December 22, 2014, the head of State created a follow-up Committee for this emergency plan. The Committee is under the supervision of the Prime Minister and will have as main mission to ensure the implementation of the matrix of actions adopted in order to accelerate growth in Cameroon.

The body will be made up mainly of two structures: a Supervisory Committee and a technical secretariat. The latter is the operational body that defines the specification of business selected, and will meet once a month.
