Four girls were abducted on Friday morning by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in the Cameroonian town of Limani, security sources informed APA.

The kidnappers and their hostages, who will almost certainly be turned into sex slaves or human bombs, later headed in the direction of the Nigerian side of the border, the source added.

According to a UNICEF report released on April 12, young suicide bombers, 75 percent of whom are girls, are Boko Haram’s new weapons of war in Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria and Chad.

From a paltry four in 2014, the number of young suicide bombers catapulted to a whopping 44 last year, some of them as young as eight years old, the report said.

Moreover, the source indicated, the Cameroonian army on Wednesday arrested a suspected Boko Haram fighter in Madina, not far from Limani in possession of 56 sim cards.
