Bui contributes 14.5 million to support military

The Senior Divisional Officer for Bui unveiled the statistics of the total amount of money contributed during a meeting on June 2, 2015 in Kumbo.

The Senior Divisional Officer for Bui, Nzeki Theophile, on June 2, 2015 in Kumbo, unveiled that FCFA 14,571,925 had been contributed at the level of Bui Division to assist the soldiers fighting against the Boko Haram insurgents in the Far North and East Regions of Cameroon.

According to the breakdown of the contribution statistics, Elak Council and Oku population contributed FCFA 3,319,550, in Oku Sub-division. In the Kumbo Sub-division, CPDM Bui I ‘A’ Section and Kimbo Police Cooperative Credit Union contributed FCFA 3,250,000. Christians of Christ The King Parish and population in Jakiri Sub-division contributed FCFA 544,925, amongst others.

Nzeki Theophile congratulated all the people and organisations which contributed for work well done. He appealed to those still lagging behind to join the train of contributors.

Meanwhile, the Ardos of Bui Division led by Ardo Manjo Dusmanou recently raised a sum of FCFA 2.7 million to assist the defense forces. Receiving the money raised, Nzeki Theophile said the money raised was a welcome gesture by the association of the Ardos.

He underscored the fact it was peculiar in Bui Division that the grazers have done something special besides what they did jointly with the rest of the population of Bui. He described their contributions as exceptional and outstanding to fight against the Boko Haram insurgency.
