Business owners urged to register enterprises

Nationwide sensitisation campaigns to encourage voluntary membership of enterprises to the National Programme to Upgrade Enterprises (PNMAN) kicked off in Douala on Thursday, November 13.

Chaired by the Director of the Enterprises Upgrading Office, Chantal Elombat Mbedey, the launching ceremony of the National Programme to Upgrade Enterprises (PNMAN), was attended, among others, by representatives of enterprises and civil society, consulting firms, representatives of business cartels, consultants, and government officials as well as officials of the Support Programme to Improve the Competitiveness of the Economy of Cameroon (PACOM) aimed at upgrading 60 enterprises.

The participants were edified on the criteria or eligibility of membership and the advantages that come with upgrading an enterprise. Membership of PNMAN will help reinforce and sustain the competitiveness of the economy of Cameroon through the improvement of production and the qualitative progression enterprises.

The total number of enterprises registered for upgrading will be disclosed at the end of the nationwide campaigns.
