CERAC Says Goodbye to Alexandra Zavala...

The wife of the outgoing Italian Ambassador to Cameroon was honoured during a special party at she leaves Cameroon.

In smiles, members of the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC) yesterday April 14, in Yaounde happily and gratefully toasted to the health of Alexandra Zavala, wife of the outgoing Italian ambassador to Cameroon and that of her husband, for her contribution to the humanitarian gesture of the outfit towards the vulnerable in society as she leaves Cameroon after a gratifying four years of eventful moments with the humanitarian association.

Through the voice of the General Coordinator of CERAC, Linda Yang, the Founding President of CERAC, First Lady, Chantal Biya and other members of the association, expressed gratitude to their outgoing member for the physical energy she has shown in supporting the objective of the association which is actively participate in the development of the country by delivering much-needed assistance to the most vulnerable groups of people.

While presiding over the event which was spiced with eating, dancing and cutting of a goodbye cake in honour of Alexandra Zavala, Linda Yang lauded the spirit of friendship the wife of the outgoing Italian Ambassador to Cameroon has shown towards other members in the group as well as her engagement in pursing the goals of the association through her presence in activities carried out by the diplomatic and national wings of the group.

Alexandra Zavala, wife of the outgoing Italian ambassador to Cameroon yesterday April 14, was given a special toast to her health and that of her husband by the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC), as she leaves Cameroon after a gratifying four years of stay with the humanitarian association.

The wife of the outgoing Russian Ambassador to Cameroon was honoured last Friday by the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC). In spite of the heavy rains last Friday 4 in Yaounde, the ceremony organised by the Circle of Friends of Cameroon, CERAC, to bid farewell to their member, wife of the outgoing Russian Ambassador to Cameroon, Nathalia Akhmedov, went ahead unhindered.

The Vice President of CERAC, Marie Prudence Dipanda, speaking on behalf of the General Coordinator, Linda Yang, did not hide the gratitude of the organisation towards the outgoing CERAC member, Nathalia. She expressed satisfaction on her availability and constant support to the affected in society. Since her arrival in Cameroon on October 26, 2006, Nathalia Akhmedov has been active in various spheres. Her exhibition of art objects from her country last December on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the humanitarian body did not leave any visitor indifferent, she noted. Though she leaves Cameroon, Marie Prudence Dipanda said Nathalia remains a member of the body. The outgoing CERAC member was offered a gift from First Lady Chantal Biya as a symbol of their undying friendship.

The outgoing CERAC member, on her part, did not hide her regret leaving the country and a people she says are hospital. Nathalia Akhmedov noted with satisfaction her relationship with the body and lauded the First Lady for the initiative, wishing her and family the best they wish for themselves. The jovial and all-smiling Nathalia also had a surprise gift for members of CERAC; a folk song from her country, accompanied by a breath-taking performance. The party ended with the cutting of a goodbye cake in honour of Nathalia Akhmedov, song and dance and a group photo. The outgoing CERAC member was visibly happy by the time she left the premises of CERAC last Friday 4, 2011.
