A ceremony was held in honour of Odile Yoosem-Kontou, wife of the Ambassador of Chad, at their end of stay.
In a typical Cameroonian song, the ladies of the circle of friends of Cameroon (CERAC) received Odile Yoosem Kontou, last Friday, at the headquarters of the association in Yaoundé.
The message from the first lady, Chantal Biya, President and founder of the institution, read by Michèle Moukoko Mbonjo, charged Deputy General Coordinator of the diplomatic component, was moving. She traced the route taken by member of the association since its accession in 2007 when she arrived in Cameroon.
Odile Yoosem Kontou, following her husband Ambassador of Chad to Cameroon, integrated quickly and illustrated her presence on all fronts in the activities of CERAC: meetings, celebrations, charity actions, constant involvement in the market of the diplomatic component.
A farewell tea was held in that honor and expressed the appreciation of the first lady and all Members to the contribution made, time and energy mobilised for the achievement of the ideals of CERAC such as: friendship, solidarity, sharing and assistance to the needy.
As a souvenir, Odile Yoosem Kontou received a gift fromMrs. Chantal Biya with a well touching message: 'you will remain always present in our hearts. And whenever you're in N ' Djaména, know that you will be contacted on telephone networks’.
In turn, Odile Yoosem Kontou indicated that she felt at home in Cameroon. Moreover, she used her seven-year stay to register at IRIC (Institute of International Relations of Cameroon) where she obtained her master in international cooperation.
