CMR army resolves to fight Boko Haram to death

Colonel Maurice Mbai Toundam one of the three senior military personnel appointed last August by the Head of State President Paul Biya to run military operations in the Extreme Nord of the country against the Boko Haram insurgence died over the week end while at the intensive care unit in a hospital in Yaounde, military sources have told Cameroon Concord.

News of this tragic targeted death is what has prompted the regiments of the Cameroon army to hold an emergency session in which tactics and combat systems against the Boko Haram terrorist group fighters were revisited and changed with soldiers stating that they will now confront the Boko Haram militants ready to kill or to die.

A highly placed military personality who spoke to Cameroon Concord but sued for anonimity said Cameroon army Generals have approached the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces seeking for permission to cross the border right into Adamawa in Nigeria.

Our source noted that our military leadership have unanimously agreed that it is time Cameroon take the fight into Boko Haram territory.
