The North West CPDM campaign team has resolved to handle councilors with care to fetch crucial votes for the party's candidates during the April 14, 2013 Senatorial elections. Launching regional campaigns in Bamenda on April 5, 2013, the vice regional campaign team leader, Mrs Regina Mundi said the integrity of CPDM candidates inspires hope. She said the stakes are high and the CPDM is poised to have their candidates among the pioneer Senators of the nation on April 14.
The Region sounds off as a front liner in the political map of Cameroon and campaign managers believe that late illustrious sons of the Region like John Ngu Foncha and ST Muna consist an inspiration for the Region to continue to lead the nation's democracy, peace and development. The event acknowledged the increasing front role of Councilors and it was against this backdrop that Mrs Regina Mundi mobilized CPDM supporters to turn full circle in future and secure more councils for the party. She called on all to put hands on deck to ensure that the CPDM emerges victorious come April 14. She was optimistic that the CPDM crack-team from the North West is just the best to form a solid base in the Upper House of Parliament. The CPDM list headed by Simon Achidi Achu, "the Old fox" as he is fondly called is poised to be the victor. Simon Achidi Achu on his part called on all the Councilors to vote the list of success. He said the North West Region has been the light as far as politics is concerned as such; the CPDM must emerge victorious and win all the seven seats from the North West Region.
