CPDM Elections: Remarkable progress in Littoral

The first evaluation meeting of the Littoral Regional Bureau charged to oversee the renewal exercise of basic and specialised structures of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), in Littoral wrapped up on a satisfactory note at the Bonanjo Party House in Douala October 30.

Under the coordination of the Regional President of the Renewal Exercise for Littoral, Benoît Ndong Soumhet, all four Divisional Committee Presidents of the region presented report of activities on the situation on the field and challenges faced.

The resignation of committee members in a bid to place their candidature for the forthcoming elections was one of the major problems faced by most Divisions. Other challenges raised by Divisional Committee Presidents included difficult access into some hinterlands and insufficient funds.

Benoît Ndong Soumhet gave instant solutions to most of the problems raised and enjoined them to better organise their work in order to have good results.

At the end of the meeting, Divisional Committee Presidents and delegation members of the Moungo, Nkam, Sanaga-Maritime and Wouri Divisions left the Party House smiling, while the Regional President could not hide his feelings of satisfaction to the press.

“With the response to the questions I asked, I am satisfied with the operation so far and I think the calendar of activities we fixed will be respected to the letter. The exercise is a complex one and necessitates a lot of devotion. I am happy militants are doing a great job on the field to obtain good results at the end of the day. Through this exercise, we will get to know the approximate number of militants the party has,” he explained.
