At the celebration yesterday November 6, 2014, in Kumbo, Bui Division of the North West Region, Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, supporters said the move will help decongest the Medical Faculty of the University of Bamenda.
Other resolutions taken included a call on President Paul Biya to create a City Council in Kumbo, tar roads in the town and appoint the sons and daughters of Bui Division to more posts of responsibility.
Militants of Bui I A CPDM Section turned out in their party regalia at the Bui CPDM Party Secretariat to celebrate in pomp and pageantry the 32nd anniversary of President Paul Biya’s coming to power.
Section President, Shey Ngah Ferdinard Maishu, recounted the achievements registered since 32 years to include peace and unity, the tarring of the Ring Road stretch from Ndop to Kumbo, the fight against Boko Haram and Ebola disease, the reappointment of Prime Minister Yang Philemon and the promotion to rank of Major General of Ivo Yenwo, amongst others.
The Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, Francis Fonye, delivered the message of the Prime Minister who was in the division but could not be present because of his numerous functions. He wished President Paul Biya and Bui I A CPDM militants a happy anniversary.
Also present were Bui Divisional Delegates for Basic Education, MINPMEESA, Women’s Empowerment and the Family, and Employment and Vocational Training.
