Organising meetings, fora and presentation of voter's bulletins marks last minute activities.
In order to dish out last instructions to the population of Douala I Council, the Cameroon's People Party (CPP) President, Edith Kahbang Walla, held several meetings on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in some neighbourhoods of the locality.
Addressing the electorate in Akwa Nord, Bonadibong and Ngodi, which she visited, she presented the CPP candidates and voter's bulletin, which the voters are expected to choose, come September 30. She equally urged potential voters to vote for the UPC, AFP and UDC parties, with which the CPP has created a platform in the other municipalities. The municipal candidate for Douala 1 assured the population that she is aware of the difficulties they face daily.
"We are tired of bribery, corruption and the mismanagement of public funds. If you want change, vote for CPP," she clamoured. Her endnote entailed promises of constructing new roads public taps to enable the populations have access to potable water; and youth employment through the creation of training centres.
