CRM 1st Vice-Chair resigns after murder of son by Boko Haram

CRM 1st Vice-Chair Mr Adam Donaldson resigns, due to the killing of his son by Boko Haram.

The President of Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM) informed the national and international community, that the first Vice President of MRC, Mr Adam Djibrine, has been overshadowed by the cowardly assassination of his 30 years old son, in a barbaric attack of insurgents in the far North region, dated August 6, 2014.

The CRM through its National President sent to their comrade Adam Donaldson and his family their condolences.

The party took this opportunity to reiterate its condolences in respect to all Cameroonian families hit by the disappearance of their relatives, fallen soldiers or police officers on the field of honour, or civilians victims of horrendous assassinations by this armed group.

Clearly marked by this tragedy and the psychosis created by the tense and increasingly disturbing security situation, within the scope of the shock, their comrade Adam Djibrine sent the National President of CRM a letter of resignation of his post of first Vice President Wednesday evening, August 20, 2014. He wrote in essence: "for personal reasons, I regret to announce my resignation from the post of first Vice President of the Cameroon Renaissance movement (CRM)", your brother, Adam Donaldson".

Comrade Adam Djibrine, who made a career in diplomacy, said that his son had been "murdered August 06 by Boko Haram", and that he wanted to stop his political activities in the context of violence and unspeakable atrocities. CRM takes note of this decision and expresses gratitude for the road travelled together in commitment and selflessness, since the creation of the party and wished him courage and good luck.
