CRTV Training Institute: Orientation of freshmen begins

Students for the 2015-2017 academic years at the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV), Institute for the Preservation of National Audio visual Heritage, IFCA, yesterday, November 2, 2015 had their first meeting with officials of the institution to familiarise themselves with the rules and regulations of their new studying environment. Effective classes in the institution will begin on Monday, November, 9, 2015.

During the gathering chaired by the Director Delegate of the institution, Dr François Marc Modzom, students were told the orientation week was organised to let them know more about the school, meet with professionals in the field as well as familiarise themselves with the environment.

François Marc Modzom said since the school is now open to the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate system, they are more than ever determined to produce the best journalists, animators or sound technicians amongst other audio-visuals professionals.

During the orientation programme, it was announced that some 187 fresh students will undergo a two- year training course in one of the eight fields; Journalism, Animation, Production, Sound Effects, Infography, Cartoons Animation and Photography, amongst others.

During the orientation week, renowned journalists like Charles Ndongo, Alain Belibi and film producers such as Robert Ekukole will exchange with the students on what the latter hope to become in the future as well as share republican values not only to excel in their profession but also to become good citizens.
