CUIB hosts cyber security conference

The first international conference on cyber security has left an indelible mark on its pioneer participants. During the conference, Divine Anye a Cyber Security Expert from the United States, urged participants drawn from various fields to stay away from cyber criminals and cyber-crime related software.

He said workers of companies and organizations are vulnerable and at such they should pay attention to the type of information they share or exploit on the internet. Divine Anye, further highlighted that some unknown mails sent to emails are from cyber criminals and should not be heeded.

In his discourse, he cautioned IT experts present at the 2 day conference to be diverse but focused since the IT field is dynamic and constantly evolving.

Furthermore he cautioned employers and managers to pay attention to employees as they hold the key to develop and annihilate a system; underlining that organization’s should have a structure to facilitate the understanding of cyber security as it is essential for every system.

Accompanying the cyber expert were Ludovic Momo and Etienne Ekporo IT engineers from Arican Defense and Security (ADES) in Douala who demonstrated a clear scenario on how possible one could be a victim of cyber criminals.

In all participants were called to identify key cyber security personnel before hiring while providing management and technical career opportunities within an organization. Participants left the conference satisfied and more informed about cyber security.
