Cabinet Reshuffle: Mbah Acha Rose relocating to auditing

Mbah Acha Rose becomes Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit after serving as President of the Regional Administrative Court of the North West Region.

“I am happy and elated that from my little corner. I have been noticed and lifted to the high position of a Minister. I am extremely happy and I thank the Head of State of the Republic President Paul Biya for the appointment. I was driving into my residence when I heard my name and it did not immediately occur to me it was for a ministerial portfolio”. That is how Justice Mbah Acha Rose née Formundam received her appointment on Friday, October 2, 2015.

Almost immediately after the news, her Upper Bayelle residence in Bamenda was invaded by jubilant friends and family members. Amongst them was Governor Adolph Lele L’Afrique, Mezam SDO, Felix Nguelle Nguelle and Hon PC Fonsoh amongst others. Prayers, songs and dance overwhelmed the atmosphere and many joined her twin sister Acha Therese Formundam in praises to God and the Head of State Paul Biya.

They went loud and clear: “it is the Lord’s doing. It is marvelous on our side”. Hon. PC Fonso was also quick to drive in sounding off about the new Minister.

“She is competent. She has been good, charitable and will deliver in government.” The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit hails from Mbengwi and married in Batibo in Momo Division.

The 56-year-old Minister, mother of five was the president of the Regional Administrative Court of the North West Region before her appointment.

She has also served the nation as former Vice President of the South West Court of Appeal. She is a product of Saker Baptist College, GHS Nkambe, the University of Yaoundé and the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM).
