Cameroon and Nigeria will jointly construct a front bridge over the Mayo-Tiel (North Cameroon).

To this end a meeting has been taking place in Cameroon, since Tuesday, bringing together experts from the two neighbours.

If completed the infrastructure, will connect the towns of Demsa and Belel, between which economic activity and smuggling have been rife in recent years.

The implementation process of the bridge project over the Mayo-Tiel River was initiated in July 2015, on the occasion of the first official visit to Cameroon of the Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari.
