The Outgoing Turkish Ambassador, His Excellency Omer Farouk Dogan, has been honoured with a medal as Grand Officer of the Order of Valour.

The Turkish Ambassador was awarded by Minister Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo during a farewell state dinner offered in honour of the President of the Republic.

The last communion with six cabinet Ministers and some top government officials took place at the sparsely decorated hall of the Ministry of External Relations on Tuesday September 15, 2015.

The Turkish ambassador, whose impact has greatly been felt nationwide in the domain of construction, business, diplomacy, youth affairs and education, expressed profound gratitude for the hospitality of the President and Cameroonians at large.

He further showed satisfaction with the bilateral ties between Turkey and Cameroon that led to the establishment of the Turkish Airlines, a major air transport dealer in the country, and the Turkish cement dealers that has reduce the cost of cement among others.

During the dinner, the Turkish diplomat and the Minister had much to say as regards to corporation between the two states.

It is worth noting that between the 2010 and 2013 exchange visits, notably between former President Abdullah Gul of Turkey and President Paul Biya of Cameroon, established a stable corporation between Yaounde and Ankara.

While exchanging gifts, handshakes and pleasantries with those present at the dinner, he equally saluted what he described a" win-win corporation between Cameroon and Turkey."

Outgoing Turkish Ambassador leaves Cameroon after a three-year diplomatic mission in the country.
