The British Minister of Foreign Affairs, Africa director at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Nic Hailey, met with Prime Minister Philemon Yang yesterday.
He went to announce him a ministerial meeting devoted to the fight against Boko Haram in London on June 12.
This meeting comes within the framework of the conclusions of the Paris Summit on security in Nigeria, held May 17, 2014, who had planned the organization in June of a follow-up meeting at the ministerial level to a point on the progress of the action plan.
It will therefore be about what Nigeria and its neighboring countries ( Chad, Niger, Benin, Cameroon ) have implemented to fight effectively against the Islamist sect Boko Haram.
Cameroonian side, where it is said war against Boko Haram, significant military assets were deployed in the northern part of the country to better monitor the borders and prevent the abduction of Westerners who are already becoming common.
The London meeting will also be about, to assess the status of system intelligence sharing and the establishment of coordinated patrols between Cameroon and Nigeria as prescribed in Paris.
