Captors of Alhadji Hamadou demand FCFA 15m

Since the 30th of August, 2014, the rapid intervention Battalion (BIR), the motorized rifle Brigade (BRIM), the national gendarmerie and the police are in search of Alhaji Hamadou.

Also a jeweler in this city, he was abducted in the department of the Mayo Rey, precisely in the village of Hossere Nandoko, 25 km from the town of Belel by the roadblocks.

The kidnapping occurred around 3pm. "With his former shepherd on leave, Alhadji Hamadou had made an appointment with his new shepherd in a specific spot in the bush. He is said to have not been at the designated place as scheduled with the shepherd, when the shepherd got there.

The captors of Alhadji Hamadou have however made a demand of a sum of 15 million FCFA for his release. "We organize patrols with all peacekeeping forces without exception, so that Alhadji Hamadou is released without the slightest franc paid", reassured an administrative source.

This new abduction raised questions about how safe roadblocks are thus leading to a decline since that time in the region of Adamaoua.

Considering the proximity of this locality with the Central African Republic and the prevailing situation in the neighboring country, the Cameroonians living in these border areas live in fear.
