Felix Tilim surprised gendarmes with a weapon carefully wrapped in a mat. The suspect Felix Tilim of Chadian nationality faced his fate since December 9, 2014 in a cell in Garoua.
In Dolla, a village in the district of Pitoa, an automatic weapon was discovered by the elements of the national police in the possession of Felix Tilim during their routine check.
After the discovery, the Chadian said it was just a parcel. "He told us that the weapon in question belongs to two individuals who live at Foulberé in Garoua.
According to his statement, the weapon has was given to him for delivery in Garoua by these two individuals who are in Cameroon," said an officer of the Criminal Investigation Brigade. "After a thorough inspection of the weapon, we discovered the arsenal in question had been dug up from the ground," concluded the officer.
Born in 1980 in Garoua, the young Felix Tilim didn't spill the beans to investigators. Some suspect him of being a member of Boko Haram. Others, however, think it would be a group of robbers who prepared logistics for night operations during the end of year festivities.
The weapon Felix was carrying in Garoua has nothing to do with the farming profession listed on his ID. His two companions cited by him during interrogation at the police were not found in their homes in Garoua.
