China-Cameroon inter-parliamentary cooperation revisited

The subject was in the center of the audience granted Thursday to the Ambassador Wei Wenhua by the President of the National Assembly during the first official meeting between the ambassador of China in Cameroun, S.E. Wei Wenhua since the presentation of his letters of accreditation to President Paul Biya on 6 January with the president of the National Assembly, Very honourable Cavaye Yeguié Djibril.

The thirty minutes audience granted to the Chinese diplomat marked the first contact between the two personalities.

Nevertheless, the Ambassador Wei Wenhua indicated at the end that he benefitted from the exchange with his host on the bilateral co-operation and makes from it a review of the inter-parliamentary exchanges.

"We spoke about the co-operation and the traditional friendship between our two countries and our two Assemblies. I transmitted the cordial greetings of our president of the popular Parliament of China".

The Chinese diplomat in addition greeted a bilateral co-operation which is in its 43 year and that he will make it his the duty to develop it during his mission in Cameroon.

"China and Cameroon have a traditional friendship which has developed for 43 years. The two countries saw their relations developing in a healthy and regular way. As a new ambassador, I will make all my efforts to reinforce our friendly relations," the Ambassador Wei Wenhua concluded.
