Comm. Min. orders CRTV as permanent secretary

The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary has given a directive to Ahmadou Vamoulké, the Director General of Cameroon Radio and Television (CRTV) to only admit academics in political discussions to represent the various political parties.


The directive was dispatched in a letter dated June 26 which noted the appointment of a representative for the Union of the Populations of Cameroon (UPC) to fill the position reserved for the political party.


The letter further directed, with reference to the Minister of Territorial Administration, Rene Emmanuel Sadi that the office of Congress of the UPC from June 6 and 7 will be headed by Ako Victor as President and Basile Louka as Secretary General. They will be the only ones authorized to speak on behalf of the party.
