All departments of the National Assembly on 29th September came out in their numbers to get their skates on as they prepared for the forth coming Common Wealth Parliamentary Association bid for 2nd October 2014.
The hygiene and sanitation department kept all the surroundings clean while the other department were busy putting everything in tact in their respective sub committees.
As concerns logistics, it was revealed that about 700 hotel rooms for all delegates have been made. So far, 635 delegates have confirmed their participation
The secretariat department was busy arranging the press kits that contained materials from the common Wealth secretariat in London. The kits will be handed to delegates as soon as they arrive.
A medical team made up of medical doctors, nurses, Red Cross personnel, and ambulances had also been preparing for the event.
The team which is made up of more than 100 persons would be expected to carter for participant’s health conditions.
They have been partitioned to work at the Yaounde Conference centre and at the Hilton Hotel.
