Conferences, sports, handicrafts characterize Youth Day celebration

Activities marking the feast of the youth have been in full swing in the region since February 4, after the official launch carried out by the Governor of the region, Jean Abate Edi'i, at Bockle, capital of the District of Garoua III.

Beyond the speeches and other engagements at the launching ceremony, it considered benefits especially to the students who magnifested patriotism through songs, skits and stories.

For the Governor of the northern region, "there is no future for those who take shortcuts, engaged in narcotics and take role models who are criminals and villains", hammered Jean Abate Edi'i.

The rest of the Youth week was punctuated by various activities, including a conference on the theme, "nationalism as a response to the adversity of the time". And sporting events in different schools, work of Community interest, cultural evenings and a promotional exhibition.

For the march pass scheduled for tomorrow, February 11, rehearsals are going on in schools.

Similarly, young people eagerly await the National Youth Day speech from the head of State on Tuesday night.
