The construction of the new headquarters for Forests and wildlife has been launched. The Minister Ngole Philip Ngwese laid the foundation of the building in the course of a ceremony, Friday in Yaounde.
The Ministry of forests and wildlife (Minfof) currently occupies five floors of the Ministerial building n° 2, insufficient space to accommodate the 1,000 employees who work there. Concerns for the well-being of its personnel, the Minister Ngole Philip Ngwese decided to provide a more appropriate framework for his employees.
Through the laying of the first stone of the building Friday in the presence of the Minister of urban development and housing as well as that of public works, the head of this Department, recalled that it is becoming urgent to allocate a suitable and modern working setting as well services personnel estimated at about 4,000.
Political, administrative and municipal authorities present at the ceremony discovered the future building through a presentation by the architect, Yimgaing Moyo, the supervisor. This is the 'new administrative Centre' located in the Etoudi in Yaounde which will house the future seat of Minfof.
