Following the destruction of the Nkongsamba municipal cemetery, the Prefect of the Department of Moungo, Thomas Hona, has launched a commission of inquiry to investigate why it happened.
The first phase of the investigation, launched on Tuesday, was to assess the extent of the damage at the cemetery located on the national No. 05. According to indiscretions exchanged between the authority and government delegate, it appears that the finger is pointing to people receiving benefits from the market construction and the bus station.
Information collected from sources indicates that the CUN would have received the sum of 300,000 FCFA, representing an advance on rent for six months or 50 000 FCFA per month for a bus station not even in service, is that a joke?
Deaths, families or populations? While the projectors posted in a prominent position on the site, to show that desire is not a matter of coincidence, the CUN declined to comment on the subject when approached by Nkongsamba FM.
It is hoped that the commission of inquiry set up by the highest authority of the department will work in all conscience without pressure to establish responsibilities and make copies available to the public.
