ECCAS experts reflect on the war against Boko Haram

Yaounde, the political capital of Cameroon hosted on Thursday February 12 and Friday, February 13, 2015, an extraordinary meeting of experts of the commission on defense and security of the economic community of Central African States.

The heart of the debates focused on the sub-regional strategy for the fight against Boko Haram, this Islamist sect of Nigerian origin who sows terror in Nigeria, Cameroon and Niger, and whose actions also threaten the security of all the sub-region of Central Africa.

The chiefs of staff and commanders of the bodies of police and gendarmerie in Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, Burundi, Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sao Tome and principle and Cameroon, have a mission at the end of the foundations of Yaounde, to make recommendations that will be submitted to the wisdom of the heads of States of ECCAS expected in Yaounde on Monday, February 17, 2015 for an extraordinary Summit.
