ELECAM appoints four interim delegates

ELECAM has replaced the incumbent delegation and this newly appointed delegates are expected to remain in office until the holding of the next session of the Council, according to the Regional Director.

The delegations of Elections Cameroon (Elecam) in Adamawa, East, far North and West regions have new regional delegates. They will occupy these functions "pending the appointment of regional delegates by the electoral Council, on a proposal from the Director General of Elections", said the head of the division of Communication, Marie Rose Nzié. She indicated that these new officials replaced those that were previously stationed, but which have now reached the age limit.

Clearly, the former incumbents of these positions were called to assert their rights to retirement. At the Elections branch in Bastos, Yaounde, it was indicated that proposals for appointments will take place during the next session of the electoral Council.

As a reminder, regional representatives, as well as other leaders of this level of structures had been appointed by the electoral council, which was then state of the "non-execution by the Director general of the Elections" a resolution on the appointment of officials of territorial dismemberments within the body responsible for the electoral process and referendum.

On this occasion, three regional delegates had been replaced, three others admitted to assert their rights to retirement and four had been kept at their posts.
