East Region: New Governor installed

The new Governor of the East Region, Mvongo Gregoire, has taken over command. He was installed by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Rene Emmanuel Sadi, on November 5, 2015.

The ceremony, marked by a heavy downpour, brought together political administrators, pupils and students, traditional rulers and civil administrators who came to welcome the incoming Governor, Mvongo Gregoire, and to bid farewell to the outgoing Governor, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Deboua, who equally replaced Joseph Betti Assomo as Governor of the Littoral Region.

The outgoing Governor was remembered for his fruitful administrative duties in the East Region. For four years, he accomplished his assignment in handling the refugees hailing from the Central African Republic and the frequent raids by highway robbers and the construction works of the Lom Pangar Dam.

To the new Governor, the Minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi urged him to ensure a smooth implementation of the Decentralization process. For him to succeed, the Minister further advised him to work in synergy with his collaborators.

Governor Mvondo Gregoire is a graduate from National School of Administration and Magistracy ENAM 1985. He was the former director of organization at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization.
