Ekondo-Titi set for Youth Day celebration

The Divisional Officer of Ekondo-Titi Subdivision has promised security for the people during the National Yoth Day celebration.

Youths of Ekondo-Titi Subdivision in Meme Division of the South West Region, will like their counterparts across the country, on February 11, 2015, effectively participate in the celebration of the 49th edition of the National Youth Day.

A meeting to lay the groundwork for the event was held in Ekondo-Titi recently under the chair of the Divisional Officer, Edwin Nkenya Ngwana.

Fully satisfied with the massive turnout by the participants, mostly service heads, local elite, business people, traditional rulers, religious authorities and security forces, the administrator appreciated their well-reasoned good intentions, likening them to the importance they attach to the day set aside by government for youths in the nation.

The DO appealed to them to come up with fresh and meaningful ideas that would give birth to nothing else but a hitch-free celebration come the Day.

Edwin Ngwana used the forum to inform the population of Ekondo-Titi that all has been done to ensure the security of the people and their property come February 11, 2015.

After putting in place various committees, the Divisional Officer insisted that they should commence work immediately to avoid last-minute rush.

In his closing remarks, the DO once again said he was satisfied with the frank participation and was hopeful that the day would be celebrated hitch-free.

The Divisional Officer is expected to set foot on the ceremonial ground at 10 am prompt. He will be received on arrival by the Assistant DO, the Mayor of Ekondo-Titi and the Sub-divisional Delegate of Youth Affairs and Civic Education.
