Information from Kondengui prison has revealed that the writer and politician Enoh Meyomesse is in a critical state of health.

Arrested on 9 November, he was sentenced on 27th December 2012 to 7 years in prison and fined 200,000 francs by the military court in Yaoundé for "aggravated theft and illegal sale of gold", he suffers today from sore eyes, for having been deprived of light for 30 days, which apparently aggravated his myopia and other eye conditions.
