Entrepreneurs schooled on the upgrading of enterprises

Members of the association of young entrepreneurs and contractors of Cameroon (Ajecam) came together with thirty other entrepreneurs for a conference debate at the Chamber of Commerce.

Participating entrepreneurs deliberated on how to determine the type of support they can get from the national programme 'upgrading enterprises' (PNMAN) that was addressed during the meeting.

According to Camille Onana, the president of Ajecam, this seminar was organised purposely to educate entrepreneurs on the process of upgrading enterprises, fostering quality management systems, as well as the realization of financial diagnosis.

The Director of the office of upgrade businesses (MNB), Chantal Elobat, indicated that, the Cameroonian Government had promised to boost the country's economy globally by strengthening the competitiveness of enterprises.

This is why the choice of upgrade is necessary to prepare and adapt the production units to the highly aggressive environment. It especially comes to educate entrepreneurs to adhere to PNMAN.

Producers are the most affected by this programme which aims to provide technical assistance offered by UNIDO and financial support of the European Union.

To qualify for this program, one must meet the eligibility criteria established by the Steering Committee of the MNB.
