Entrepreneurs upgrade skills on productivity

Reinforcing partnership with enterprises was the focus of a seminar that held in Buea recently.

"Human capital and business productivity" was the theme of a one-day seminar organised by the National Employment Fund (NEF) on June 23, 2016, in Buea. It had as objectives to sensitise heads of enterprises and business persons on the impact of human capital on productivity. It also highlighted the importance of a performing staff.

Debates on proper management policies of staff that improve productivity were also on the programme. Resource persons hinged on the different tools of the NEF that help partners in recruitment exercises as a means of reinforcing partnership with enterprises.

The South West Regional Director for NEF, Jose Ndziga Obama said his outfit was out to boost employment and fight unemployment. The NEF has developed a number of strategies.

One of which is to organize a seminar for enterprises during which economic operators, entrepreneurs, proprietors, would-be proprietors and resource persons come together to debate on certain themes that will enable them better manage their activities for sustainable development.

The First Assistant SDO of Fako, Vincent Nafongo lauded the organizers for such an initiative which aims at promoting employment.
