FM meets with Cameroonian counterpart on fringes of AU summit

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khemaies Jhinaoui, had a talk with his Cameroonian counterpart Mr. Mbella Mbella, on the fringes of his participation in the African Union (AU) Summit in Addis Ababa, during which bilateral co-operation was discussed.

A Foreign Ministry statement said the Cameroonian Minister emphasised the solidity of the relations between Tunisia and Cameroon as well as the density and wealth of their co-operation.

Khemaies Jhinaoui said the next joint commission will be a propitious occasion to strengthen the bilateral relations and lead to concrete results, particularly in the sectors of tourism, trade, higher education, health, technical co-operation and agriculture.

The Cameroonian Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s need in experts in the farming sector, pointing to Tunisia’s experience and know-how in this regard.
Khemaies Jhinaoui also met with his Togolese counterpart Mr. Robert Dussey, with whom he reviewed bilateral co-operation and ways to boost it.

The two Ministers agreed to diversify bilateral co-operation, particularly in the higher education sector.
