Feicom opens photo exhibition, launches Golden book

Members of the Government, the Minister of Territorial Administration and decentralization, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the special equipment and intercommunal intervention (Feicom), René Emmanuel Sadi, was present for the opening of the photos exhibition and the dedication of Golden book; 'Feicom, 40 years in the heart of development', published on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of this institution.

Beyond the dedication, he praised Feicom and its "evolution which yielded fruits in a more visible way" acknowledged René Emmanuel Sadi. Indeed, in this long journey, Feicom is recognized as an institution of reference on a continental scale, in the context of the decentralization process, thanks to its achievements. It has recorded 2,523 projects since 1974, in social areas, community and merchant facilities among others, for a total budget of more than 152,9 billion.

The Minadt paid tribute to those who worked hard to contribute towards the achievements of Feicom, "whose excellence in the relationship with the municipalities is visible in successful decentralization", he asserted.

For Philippe Camille Akoa, Director-General of the Feicom, the celebration of its 40 years is "an instrument of national solidarity, in view of the vastness of its achievements". As such, he acknowledged the head of State who agreed to sponsor the festivities and preface of the book.

The book, "Feicom, 40 years in the heart of the development, presented by Dr. Félix Zogo, in French and English, is a 'figurative symbol of the actions of the Feicom in 395 pages. It demonstrates the great achievements of this organization in the 360 communes of Cameroon since 1974, date of its creation.
