Fighting insecurity: The Police puts in place new Data system

A Data sharing system to check drug trafficking and other crimes has been launched.

The new technology was launched yesterday 6th October 2016 in Yaounde by the Delegate General for National Security Martin Mbarga Nguele.

Talking during the Launch, Martin Mbarga Nguele said the unit will provide security Forces with the necessary tools to prevent illicit activities around airports in Cameroon.

The advanced technology has been put in place to facilitate the detection and identification of criminals, fake and stolen documents.

The project which is being cosponsored by the European Union will also be launched in Douala in the near future.

The Delegate General for National Security Martin Mbarga Nguele during the launch expressed appreciation to all those who took part in putting in place the project.

To his collaborators, the Police boss urged them to take full advantage of the new dispensation.
