First Anglophone Benedictine Monk Consecrated

Reverend, Brother Monk Peter Nillong is the first in Cameroon.

December 1, 2013 was a day of joy not only to the first Anglophone Benedictine monk to be consecrated in Cameroon, but also the day he says his joy is complete in a journey he started 15 years ago.

There have been ups and downs, sun and rain. But the Lord gave him the strength to pass through the moments of giving himself holy to him without reserve. I am happy because after a long labour, I can now see the fruits of my labour. "I am joyful and I thank the Lord immensely. I thank the Benedictine community of Mont-Febe for having confidence in me and giving me the opportunity to go through the training. Thank you Jesus."

"Thank the Christian community for holding me, praying for me, guarding and supporting me through the journey that has earned me the title," he said.
