After having routed the attackers from Boko Haram last weekend, our defence forces have kept the city calm. Three days after violent confrontations between the defence forces of Cameroon and the members of the Boko Haram sect, the small town of Logone-and-Chari Department, in the far North region remains quiet, according to the local administrative authorities joined on-site.
After registering a hundred losses, due to the violent response of the Cameroonian defense forces, the attackers of the Boko Haram sect appear still entrenched about seven kilometres inside the Nigerian locality of Gambaru.
However, after the release the Minister of Communication issued to this effect, the terrorist group Boko Haram has departed from the locality of Fotokol from Gambaru into Nigerian territory. No casualties have been registered on the Cameroonian side as a result of this Act of aggression.
Confirming the heavy losses caused by the attackers during their passage in Douala on Tuesday where he chaired the opening of the fourth symposium of the chiefs of staff of the armies of the African air, the Minister delegate at the Presidency responsible for defence, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o, said that it was the translation in the acts of the instructions given to the defence forces by the president of the Republic for the total eradication of the manifestations of the sect in Cameroon.
